Medical Disclaimer
Ayme is a food and activity tracker. It isn’t a medical device, and nothing in it, including the coach, is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Calorie targets, burn estimates (including Reality check), and coach suggestions are general estimates based on common formulas and the data you enter.
- Ayme never suggests fewer than 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day (depending on your profile) or losing more than 1% of your body weight a week. Your needs may differ.
- Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, kidney, heart, or liver disease, take medication (including GLP-1 medications), or have ever had an eating disorder.
Your body
- Readiness, sleep, load, stress, vitals, heart-rate zones, muscle recovery, fitness age, and cycle estimates are wellness estimates, compared with your own usual. They don’t detect, diagnose, or rule out any condition.
- They come from what your devices recorded in Apple Health, so they’re only as accurate and as complete as those devices and readings. Caffeine, alcohol, meals, heat, dehydration, altitude, travel, illness, medicines, and your menstrual cycle all affect them.
- ECG results, Apple’s notifications (irregular rhythm, high or low heart rate, sleep apnea), AFib History, and blood pressure are shown as your devices recorded and classified them. Ayme doesn’t read ECGs or make its own diagnosis. Blood pressure categories are the American Heart Association’s and are meant for averages of several readings; only a doctor can diagnose high blood pressure.
- Cycle estimates are never a method of birth control.
- If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, signs of a stroke, or a blood pressure reading above 180/120 with symptoms, call 911.
